i haven't posted for so long!!
anyway i am back from GIB! (: (: (: i am so glad i went! like in the beginning i was kinda of dreading it cos i thought it was going to be weird. being a new prefect and everything. but it wasn't! the whole thing was really tiring, i slept a grand total of 7 hours over the 3 nights! (: but it was a very good experience and i really learnt alot about leadership. and i felt really bonded to everyone else there. it really wasnt weird anymore. (: (: (:
i'm so happy! (: and as dan pointed out: its so scary that we all look so normal in boleros! (: hahahah! i was in a really COOL family group called DUH. (: led by mel leong and sarah chen! and consisted of the 2 of them, me, chuan en; Sec 2s: steph leong, nandini, nadia; Sec 1s: farisha and esther seetoh (who is SO unlike rachel).
and then we had to learn and present a french song on tuesday and you wouldn't believe how hard it is to repeat the french 'r' over and over again in a bid to get everyone to say it! which they didnt- its easier and still sounds alright if you slightly swallow your 'r'. and i think everyone did really really well because its very hard and they all still managed to sound rather french! (: the song was called 'Qui a le droit' which means 'who has the right'. its a very nice song! oh and all the french words started mel leong and denyse to start exclaiming french swear words and asking me t teach them! haha. i did eventually-just ONE! but mel keeps forgetting it anyway, so its alright.(: but it was so FUN! haha.
and then yesterday night we were all so sad and su (our trainer) did this circle thing with the sec3s and we were all supposed to say anything we wanted. and everyone just started saying such meaningful sweet emo sad things and everyone was so sad cos this is our last GIB and i was kind of still treasuring my first GIB experience-but i am really sad that it wont ever happen again! ): and i think that the sec3s really bonded alot alot over the 4 days! and anyway almost everyone was crying): and then the sec ones and twos came in and performed for us something they prepared in like 15 min and it was so sweet! i love you juniors! <3 and then we all went and did it again in our family groups! emo emo emo!
and i finally understand why all the prefects used to go "i love SCPB" because now i do too!! (: yes. and i can't wait to see what we accomplish next year. i think that if we can come so far in 4 days under su's guidance; we can definitely do great things as a board! my heart is satisfied! XD just got to get through end years first! ): but i know i can do it! i know we all can!
